Project Roundup

With Project Round Up, your spare change can help to make a tremendous difference in the lives of those who need help within our community. Help us to help others by participating in our Project Round Up program.

By signing up, your electric bill is ‘rounded up’ to the next highest whole dollar amount. For instance, if your actual electric bill is $83.87, it will be rounded up to $84. The additional 13 cents provides monetary assistance for various charitable and non-profit organizations.

Who We Are

Founded in 1939, Sevier County Electric System began with 3 employees serving 700 customers. Today, SCES employs approximately 120 employees providing electricity to over 59,000 customers in our area. Our earliest commitment to provide customers with reliable electricity at the lowest possible cost remains our driving philosophy today.  The forward-thinking leaders and employees of SCES are continually implementing the newest technologies and safety measures in the industry to keep our customers first and our employees safe.

SCES is located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which hosts more than 12 million visitors annually, lending to a thriving tourism-based economy.  SCES is a locally owned and operated, non-profit public power utility located in Sevierville, Tennessee.  We purchase power directly from TVA and distribute it to  residential, commercial, and industrial customers within our service area of Sevier County, including the cities of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Pittman Center, and Townsend.
